This very mixer broke down in front of 200+ people on a gig at The Mix club in Syktyvkar, Komi. Fortunately, after some frenzied plugging and unplugging I was still able to play my set, though not in the planned form but a shorter, improvised one. Sometimes these things just happen.
Anyway, the visit to Syktyvkar was FANTASTIC. Syktyvkar was indeed muddy with some quite impressive puddles of water, but at the same time decorated by pretty birch trees growing on every corner and the ever-present vast U.S.S.R-style concrete blocks.
I met fabulous people, saw some amazing art and heard a lot of great music. I got some prime audio material from Komi as well, so maybe there's an EP coming after a while, too.
